Type 2 New Patient Diabetes

Yesterday I got my blood test and found that I am a patient of diabetes. My test result was (HbA1ac) 12.6%. kindly suggest me that from now how can I reduce this level. And 12.6 % level how much danger?

Hi @Chohan g and welcome to the forum.

12.6% is pretty high, but I started at 12% and have got down to non diabetic numbers, as have many on here.

A couple of questions for you. Have you been diagnosed with type 1 or type 2 diabetes? And have you been prescribed insulin or any other medication for your diabetes? The answers to these questions will help people to give you appropriate advice.

Hi. 12.6% is too high and could be dangerous it it continues. You may need to check your ketones. If you are fairly slim you should have the tests for T1 done. If you are overweight then seriously reduce the carbs in your diet.
