New T2 Diagnoses.

Hello i am Jayne 40 years of age and have just been diagnosed as T2 Diabetes . I am on Metformin and Simvastatin.Has anyone got any ideas of dealing with this situation. I have a young family and now feel as though i can't have what they have as meals. Please could anyone advise me on this.

Hi Jayne.

Welcome to the forum. Have a good look around, especially the food section, the non low carb and low carb sections here. Food is not a problem, you can eat most of the things that a non - diabetic eats but with a few changes. It's not a disaster. I eat much the same as anybody else, just in smaller quantities and with certain restrictions. You will have to find what works for you and then just adjust accordingly.
