Went to see the nurse today, she got the impression I am on the border line of diabetees and should keep an eye on it. She thinks my GTT result came through so high because I was ill at the time, as I just came back from abroad was not feeling well with a virus.

Anyway asked to keep a note of sugar level in the morning and evening and revist her in two weeks.

That is great news - you have every reason to get it under control now - you may then be able to keep 'normal' for a very long time.

In my not terribly humble opinion, however, I'd do more that keep an eye on it; instead actively start working to get fitter/change to a lower carb diet / lose weight (if appropriate for you).

Right now, it sounds like you are lucky enough - as I was - to have been diagnosed with your sugar metabolism a bit wonky but before full diabetes has set in, now's your chance to turn the clock back.

Have a read on the forum here, you'll find a lot of useful info about testing and modification of your diet.

best of luck.
