@jack412 I also find when I eat things like rice and especially pasta I found that I was hungry about an hour later!.
@DeejayR being a newbie to the low carbing I am trying to cut right down on rice, bread, pasta and potatoes, cakes and pastries etc. I read the book from Dr david Cavan, reversing diabetes and understand that cetain fats are good, animal fat, butter. Basically what I plan for my first 2 weeks is to record everything I eat using the carbs and cals app and then review it and see how I'm doing. I'm also trying to drink more water and to add a little table salt to my food, which will be tough as I cut out adding salt to my cooking and to my cooked food about 15 years ago!!. I have been taking my bloods before meals and 2 hours after.
I only started to day but already my blood sugars are great. This is how today looks like so far....
8.15 blood sugar 5.9
Had decaf coffee with cream
9.15 breakfast 3 rashers of bacon and scrambled eggs. Blood sugars 6.2
10.15 decaf coffee semi milk
11.15 blood sugars 5.9
1 apple
12.50 lunch leftovers from last nights roast which I fried. This contained roast pork, 1 roast potato, 1/2 Yorkshire pud, green beans, cauliflower, broccoli, gravy.
1 tea with semi milk
Blood sugar 5.7
I have also drunk around 1 pint of water also this morning.
Will take blood sugar at 2.50
How does this sound so far?
