New to omnipod 5

Hey all. I just got onto omnipod 5 hybrid closed loop with libre 2 plus after 7.5 years on MDI. Any advice as a new pump user? What sites do people find work best and any general advice/experience of others on omnipod with libre 2?

I’ll be really interested in responses to your question. I’m going to be moved over to Libre 2+ fairly soon - all a matter of NHS economics which doesn’t bother me. If people find Dexcom better, then I’ll ask to resume that system. To answer your question about Omnipod 5, it’s one of the best moves I have ever made. My consultant disagrees. He says if I’d moved over to a pump earlier then I wouldn’t have been eligible for the Omnipod 5 and I would probably have been disappointed. As it is, I find it fantastic. I was using Lyumjev, now reverting to Fiasp, only because of the discomfort I felt when the insulin was being delivered. I wear the pump in my stomach area because I frequently dislodged my Libre sensors on my arm. Libre like them on your arm because it is free advertising, apparently. Initially just rely on your pump and sensor decisions re how much insulin you need. Omnipod needs to get used to you so don’t interfere with its recommendations until you absolutely need to. Eventually (after a month or so) you can tweak things and it’ll learn again. Just relax and enjoy getting your life back!

That is interesting about changing to fiasp insulin because I find it stings with lyumjev when the insulin is being delivered. I will ask my endo next visit. I am waiting for omnipod 5 coming to Belgium
