Hi
I am not the Diabetic.
It's my wife Pat, as been a diabetic now for 43 years this came out soon after we got married in our teens.
Pat was pregnant and the doctor knew there was sugar in her water but nothing was done about it we didnt find out this till sometime later.
Pat was 7month's gone when she fell into a coma we lost our baby son Andrew and when Pat came out of the coma 0ur baby had been born and the funeral had taken place.
Since that time we have 4 grown up children and 10 grandchildren.
But although Pat as never drank alcohol or smoked or really abused her body the toll on her body from diabetes as not been kind(ie) Many medical problems cataract's laser treatment ulcers on feet lost toes then below the knee amputation then while hospital having that amputation court MRSA and 28 day's after the first amputation had to have her leg amputated above the knee due to the MRSA nearly killing her.
And the last few week's Pat as now had an heart attack and while in hospital during her 4 week stay court MRSA again which as stopped her being transferred to a special heart hospital as they wont accept her with MRSA.
Pat is now back home and waiting for another scan and still may be sent to the other hospital when her MRSA is clear.
Pat's heart attack was a near to major one so we are both on tender hook's at the moment.
But we hope thing's will only get better.
So even when you do the right thing's diabetes can be a nasty thing to have.
But having said that we have been together 47 years and we are both very happy.
Just a little about my wonderful wife Pat.
Kind regards John.
