Hi everyone

Need some advice I haven't been diagnosed with diabetes however I am currently seeing a private doc initially for my thyroid gland - My NHS dc insists that there is nothing wrong with me. The private dc has run some test and has advised me that my adrenal glands seems to be under stress as I have high cortisol levels in the afternoon and my ADEA levels are low. My thyroid due to an increase in my meds are now showing that my T4 level is slightly hyper but my T3 levels are suppressed. I have checked my blood sugar levels over the last 3 week before meals and they are ranging from 2.1 being the lowest reading taken to 10.4 being the highest over this period of time. I feel really ill at both ends of the scale. I have restricted my diet eating high protein and low carbs but I feel so rough at best I am maintaining my weight but I weight 15 st at the moment and Im 5ft 7. I was wondering if these reading could indicate diabetes or that I have another endo problem as I understand they are linked.

Any help would be appreciated

Thank you

lynne

Hello lynnemc1

I think that this is a question for your doctor. Your low reading is really low, obviously, and your high one is fairly high. I would see your doctor asap.

Then, if you get a diagnosis of diabetes, come to the forum for lots of support and good advice.

I do hope you feel better very soon.

Take care.
