Hello, I have recently been diagnosed with type 2, I have taken my jab this morning and since breakfast my levels are 20.3. What’s the best way to bring them down. I ate about an hour ago.

Hi Vorny,

I'm not on insulin myself, so I'm useless in that department, but I do know the folks who are T2 and insulin users, would need more information to go on. So if you can answer these for them: Do you carb count, are you on a fixed dose, what insulins do you use (bolus and/or basal, brandnames?), what did breakfast consist of and are you reducing your carb intake? If you've been recently diagnosed, what is the reason you've been put straight onto insulin, rather than oral meds and/or a diet/lifestyle change? (It's a bit drastic, what was your HbA1c, do you know?) Are there co-morbidities to consider, other medications that may up glucose as well?

I know it's a lot of questions in one go, but if you give people more to go on, you'll get more relevant answers.

Anyway, welcome, and I hope someone here can be of assistance!
Jo
