Hi my name's Shell and I'm 20 years old. I have been a type 1 Diabetic since May 2003. When I was diagnosed with Diabetes type 1 I was very stubborn and didn't want any help and shut my family and friends out. Finally after 7 years I have decided to sign up to one of these sites to meet people with the same issues and just some one to talk to really who knows what I'm going through. It will take me a while to get used to using this because it's different to social networks I normally use...so just for now hello to you all :D
 
Hi shell. Welcome to the forum.
Have a good look around all areas, any questions or advice needed, there is usually somebody around with an answer. You will probably find the T1 forum area of use to you.

welcome to the site, i've been diabetic (type 1) for 14 years, I've only been on this site for a week but everyone is great, you'll definately find all your answers on here
