Hi Sammy,
Welcome to the forum, I too am a parent of a T1 son, he's now 10 and was diagnosed 3yrs ago, this is a great forum, theres plenty of advise and parents on here. If your ever finding it hard to cope through lack of support, theres plenty of that here too.
Take care,
Suzi x

Hello sammy
Welcome to the forum, you have come to the right place there is so much good advice and support from experienced diabetics and quite a few parents of diabetic children, everyone is caring and will do their best to help you through, you will see.

I am afraid I am no use to you because I am type 2, but I just wanted to say hello and tell you that I take off my hat to all parents of diabetic children, you are doing an extra special job there for sure.

You say that you are a single parent, just wondering if you are in touch with Gingerbread and the National Council for One-Parent Families, Lone parents and Single parents, all these organisations have so much to offer, just in case you have not checked out any of these let me know and I will send you the contact details.

All the best and a hug for your little boy too
