New weight loss drug for diabetics??

A friend of mine has just been telling me he has heard of a new drug designed to help diabetics lose weight. He cant remember the name of it but says it begins with 'x'. Bit vague I know but does anyone have any ideas to what it might be?

Your friend is probably talking about Exenatide better known as Byetta which is usually injected twice daily I believe.

Search the forum for Byetta there is a very large thread here which should answer most if not all of your questions.
 
MY GP IS NAGGING ME TO TRY BYETTA BUT IM NOT SURE WHAT DOES BYETTA DO TO YOUR SYSTEM DO YOU SPEND ALL YOUR TIME IN THE LOO LIKE YOU ARE SUFFERING FROM NAUSEA AND OR DIARRHOEA OR IS THE MYTH THAT YOU LOOSE A LOT OF WEIGHT YOU EVENTUALLY RID YOURSELF OR TYPE 2 DIABETES IS THERE SOMEONE OUT THERE THAT CAN HELP ME PLEASE....
