It may be that you also had what is called a false hypo. This can happen when BG normalises but the body is used to very high levels.I'm at my lowest blood sugar level in several months at 6.8 just now. I forgot to test this morning when I had 2 ryvitaa fruiit crunch crispbread, followed by swimming for 1 1/2 hours at 10:15 am and my blood sugar after that was 7.8 at midday. the carb cravings is hitting me hard as I can't think straight, my body has gonee into shake mode, i can't concentrate and i feel like that if i don't have some shortbread that i bought from sainsburys, that i'm going to faint. I also bought some ham slices on my way to the uni library. Its no wonder people are addicted to carbs, my cravings are really powerful.
I had another false hypo this morning as my blood sugar was at 5.3, then i had 2 mini croissants from my local coop which had 25 grams of carbs after waking up late to uni. I also bought a punnet of 6 plums as I got told that plums are low gi fruit.
Step away from the shortbread, the mini croissants and the plums, they are all high carb and/or sugar foods!!!
Ali
That's exactly when you have your mini Babybel and your peanuts in a clip top box. To save those croissant. They will revive the carb craving you know......
I haven't touched the shortbread, but I did have a plum at 11am as my blood sugar was 4.8 at 10:35am.
I've gone from having +200g of carbs to under 50g a day and I've stuck with it for more than a week. Plus my blood sugars today have been borderline hypo at 4.5 at 2:30pm, 4.1 at 5pm and 5.3 at 8pm.
you are doing well, I would focus on your BG and your 50g carbs and let the weight follow.I haven't touched the shortbread, but I did have a plum at 11am as my blood sugar was 4.8 at 10:35am.

Well done on pre-pancake disaster figures @akindrat18 , it was going really well until that ****-up. Thank goodness it's pancake day only once a yearKeep up the good work, you're doing well.
I took probiotics when I changed dietsMy blood sugars have dropped to 8.3, but now i'm experiencing a change in bowel movements with diarhhoea and an increase in passing gas. Also I will be having an indian takeaway with my friends and was wondering what would be okay to have?
I took probiotics when I changed diets
indian's good, have a main and have a veg dish instead of rice or breads
That's a real shame @akindrat18 , but also a real triumph. Power to you for exercising great will powerI didn't have the curry. The takeaway place only did 3 veg dishes and they all contained potatos, plus the onion bhajis were made from garam flour. Instead I had some mini babybels.
