I'm going to reduce carbs and increase protein/fat for evening meals.

Have been looking at this for awhile and have asked a few people on this site how they calculate their insulin dose for protein/fat intake and think I have enough info to get started.

Testing so far it certainly has lowered pre-bed BGLs which means better results during the night. As I'm a good sleeper (8 hours) getting the right overnight BGLs has a big impact on HbA1C results.

I'm going to try a low carb eating regime to hopefully gain better control of my BG levels and lower my HbA1c...
I may even get adventurous and change my needle and lancet at every check/injection
Kim I'm joining you in that! Well lower carb for me I'm going to aim for 120ish grams and change my needle and lancet daily... every checks not going to happen for me lol

I will be joining you in this Tipetoo - too many extra bits the last month or so and over Christmas and tomorrow is back to work and back to the LCHF diet. I need to be more organised with my food and also my testing. Here's to a great 2017

Oh that would send me to the poor house. I am paying around $20 per 100. I just change them when they are feeling blunt, usually around once a week.
I haven't changed my lancet for over a year but I only test every 3 days. (T2 1500 mg of Met.)can predict my BG. According to what I eat .
