Not wanting to be negative but Hogmanay/New Year TV seemed a bit "boggin" this year! Nothing seems to be happening in UK except 15 min in London!
Anyway :
HAPPY NEW YEAR - EVERYONE!:)

Hi @Robinredbreast
Thank you for asking , still no voice , but a bit of a croak like a frog yesterday morning and this morning ...so maybe this is an improvement .....
Throat still keeps feeling a bit rough , not as bad as a few weeks ago , but having no engery is a real pain ....
This has resulted in no dusting etc ..just lots of tv and rest ...
I did not think laryngitis would last this long ....at least the cough has gone ...my ribs were really hurting ...
Thank you for giving me my girl flu moment :p :inpain:
Hope everyone else is feeling alright ....
Tomorrow I am making a nice soup ...so that is good ...I have hardly cooked ...
And guess what james martin is on tv cooking now , why is he not in my kitchen ...
You really would think he would help ....
Take care RRB .., we need a healthy new year :cat: love kat x

Lol yes it was fun everyone dressed up which was good, and someone was sick on there carpet I don't drink so it was not me.
Hope you have been well.
As long as it was their carpet and not yours :yuck::yuck: and how very bad mannered! They wouldn't stay on my friend list for long, that's for sure. Know what you mean about the drinking though. I only drink when I'm at home so that if I do have one of my "turns" I can throw up in my own echo chamber. We are all ok here and thankfully everything is back to normal, decs down, put away, and back to gym now I'm not running around getting things done. Happy new year to you and yours. :)

Poor you! sounds like you've got it bad but on the bright side as you say no housework just lots of rest and tv (which was dire over Christmas/New Year). Shame we can't have hot lemon and honey toddies. Can't think of a substitute for honey??? Take care, keep warm and take it easy. Hope 2015 will get better :nurse:

Dear Kat.
So sorry you are not feeling well.I hope by now you are over the worst.I always think Paracetamol and a nose spray works best.
Thank you for your support.Im still a bit frail but better.
Love Pat x

Hi Kat, I hope the hot water and lemon works x

Well, I have started to re decorate my bedroom, 5 months after accident. Painting 3 walls ( finished one) and the feature wall will be wall papered. Now I know it may be a little difficult, but I am going do it. Also I am chuffed to bits because i took old wooden blind down, this got broken too, it was lopsided and looked just awful. I have fixed the new blind brackets to the window frame and will put new blind up
soon:)
I am taking my time and being very careful and vidulant. Don't like it when my teenager is at home, because she keeps watching me and telling me to be careful, which makes me even more nervous
But determined to do it, yay

Take care RRB x

Good job I am not there with your daughter .
You would be held 'tightly by your top/jumper' by ME !
Plus she could hold onto your legs too - no more falls .

PLEASE be careful RRB - promise ? ;)

One step at a time - approach please .
We have just got you better and stronger again . x

We have been getting tree surgeons around to
give us quotes for our trees to be tidied up .
Rear garden has 2 that are in need of a good trim .

Quotes are frighteningly :( expensive too !

One is a listed protected 'huge' oak tree - have applied for permission to crown trim it .
Overhanging 5metre branches over our garage/property .
Risk of dropping and cause serious damage to garage roof possible .
With all the leaves off it now - its the best time to tackle this job.

Soon be spring and new life buds on tree branches .
Sooner the better to do this .

anna,It is expensive from the quotes I had a couple of years ago. Luckily, one I found turned out to be in the year below me at school and we knew each other and I went out with a friend of his and he, the tree surgeon, had a crush on one of my friends.
He did tree work in my back garden at 'the school comp' price, so I was very happy :D and also a good price for fencing in the back garden, about 18 months ago. He did an excellent job too, also we were chatting about old times, " did I remember this" did he remember that" school friends, teachers, all sorts of things from way back, marriages, children etc
He was the last person I tried in phone book, I thought, 'ah that's quite a nice area this person lives in and not far way from from me', it brought back many memories when I used to have long walks up that area with my dog Holly,........... :)
