https://www.diabetes.co.uk/diabetes_care/blood-sugar-level-ranges.html has some ranges listed, from mmol/l on your own meter to the doc's HbA1c's. If you're just starting out, know that your body is used to higher numbers, so keep this rule of thumb in mind: Test before a meal and two hours after. You're aiming for a rise of no more than 2.0 mmol/l, preferably less. If you keep that up for a longer period of time, your over-all numbers will start dropping too. So if you're seeing relatively high numbers now when you want to aim for numbers in the normal range, don't beat yourself up just yet. It takes a little while to get to consistently lower numbers.
