hi!

I was diagnosed when i was 11 and i am now 17. I have learnt that it is a good idea to carry glucose/sugar tablets around with me incase my blood sugar goes a bit low.

Never stop doing your insulin and remember to do your bm.

Do you do 4 injections a day?

Hi,

My son has type one and he is 16.

We got him a little shoulder bag we call his "survival pack".

In this is:

a meter
his insulin
£5 ( in case he needs to buy food)
his mobile phone
our contact numbers
a little plastic bottle of glucose gel
key to the house
a list of carb counts for his favourite meals

When he goes out this goes too.
