Hello, what type of diabetes do you have? and do you take any medication? I'm afraid it is difficult to give advice if you didn't test when it happened to confirm it was a hypo. I'd say get a blood glucose meter and document it and possibly put a case together for your doctor to examine you.Hi everyone 1st post on forum so sorry if I'm in the wrong place. Haven't got a clue about all this and am going to call the doctor this week to find out what's going on.
I'm a 35yr old male with quite a physical job (tradesman) and think i get/have hypoglycemia, an example is today and it often happens, I come over like I all of a sudden start to get really hungry, then over the space of about 10minutes start to feel sick, shaky and weak if I don't eat something within the next 30 minutes it feels like I'm going to pass out. To give an example about food intake today I ate granola and coffee for breakfast, then we stop at 10am for break had small portion of brown rice with veg and chicken and handfull of grapes and a coffee usually drink squash throughout the day. By 11.30-12 I was crashing hard and whenever it happens I usually eat whatever is in sight!! Once I've eaten I start to feel myself leveling out after 20 mins, It mostly happens in between meals when I'm at work. It does also happen at weekends when I tend not to eat until about 2pm. It doesn't happen all the time probably 2-3 times a week when it's bad. Looked some info up on the Internet but there is so much conflicting info. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Hi, I'm not Brunneria, but here's the link: https://www.diabetes.co.uk/forum/category/reactive-hypoglycemia.70/I'll tag @Brunneria to give you a link to the forum.
Thanks so much for the quick responses and advice, I will definitely call the docs tomorrow hopefully they can shed some light on it. Really hope it isn't the start of diabetes and its just a dietary thing.
Thanks again

Hi Tolly84,
Diabetes (at least Type 2 diabetes) Is (just) a dietary thing - if treated by following advice in these forums (rather than the conventional medical advice ).
