Hello everyone
I'm new to this site. Yesterday I went to see the diabetes nurse at my doctors. She told me that my HbA1c level was 90. She told me to start my medication Metformin. She gave me this site address and said it will be useful. So thought I would have a look around and see if I can understand fully what I should be doing. Any tips would be appreciated as it is quite overwhelming.

Welcome.... you will probably find more help here than at the doctors.... a but positive is that your nurse directed you here!

Take a breath, take it one day at a time and you'll be fine!

Hello and welcome,

You have been very fortunate to have been directed to this site- there is no better place yo find help and support and guidance.

You've already been given a link to some helpful information so I will leave that with you

Just know it is totally normal to feel overwhelmed , sad any number of feelings- but this site will really help.

Good luck- read around and ask questions- it takes a while for it all to sink in. Just know there are many many people who are type 2 diabetics and manage their condition mostly with diet- though exercise does help.

Let us know if you have any specific questions after you have read the information ion the link

Welcome and good luck.
