That must be very scary
If you are worried you need to contact at doctor for help.
Everything from high blood sugar to low blood sugar can cause those symptoms.

Has he got a meter to test his blood sugar, and if so, what are his levels when he feels like this? Also has he been diagnosed as type 1 or type 2 diabetic?

He's type 2 but just in it doc this it's anxiety that's causing the problem

Hello and welcome,

That sounds really scary for both of you. I really think that if you can get him to get a meter and start testing that will be a huge start of the journey to improving his health.

Type 2 diabetes is misunderstood by a large part of the medical profession. Type 2s have an inability to tolerate carbs and have insulin resistance. Any here have found that a dramatically reduction in our carb intake has reduced the symptoms and the blood sugar levels. It is tough and the person with the condition has to be motivated. Testing regularly keeps me motivated,

Read around- he is very .lucky that you want to help.
Good luck.

This is so true. Once Diagnosed I got shovelled-off to a well meaning Diabetes Nurse. I had three. Each attempting to motivate me to “come-right”. Yeah, how well did that go for me? At worse it was just so inconsistent and incorrect and, might I say potentially damaging, and at best it had left me searching for “better” - and that’s when I discovered this Support-Rich Forum.

And you, @VashtiB, have been both consistent and understanding in motivating me. THANK YOU !

Right, back to the England v India Cricket live on Channel4 .

What was it before dinner?
And what did he eat?
Maybe send him here. We could help him directly.
There is so much information on this site and it really is good for people to take charge of their health.
