That must be very scaryMy husband was just diagnosed last week as diabetic but every night he gets shaky ringing in finger breathless and very agitated I desperately need help
He's type 2 but just in it doc this it's anxiety that's causing the problemHas he got a meter to test his blood sugar, and if so, what are his levels when he feels like this? Also has he been diagnosed as type 1 or type 2 diabetic?
This is so true. Once Diagnosed I got shovelled-off to a well meaning Diabetes Nurse. I had three. Each attempting to motivate me to “come-right”. Yeah, how well did that go for me? At worse it was just so inconsistent and incorrect and, might I say potentially damaging, and at best it had left me searching for “better” - and that’s when I discovered this Support-Rich Forum.Type 2 diabetes is misunderstood by a large part of the medical profession.
And you, @VashtiB, have been both consistent and understanding in motivating me. THANK YOU !It is tough and the person with the condition has to be motivated.
Doc says he doesn't need one but I've got one anywayHigh or low blood sugar can cause anxiety.
Does he have a meter to test?
Good. What are the numbers before meals and after.Doc says he doesn't need one but I've got one anyway
What was it before dinner?9.1 after dinner
It was 9.1 after his meal would indicate what ever he ate was too high in carbs. Your looking for less the a two pint raise. He was 5.8 before dinner I can't send him on cos he's old dog set in his ways lol
