Newbie :)

Constantly, there's no visible pattern, it's just completely up in the air. I know how important it is and sometimes my readings terrify me, especially highs of 24 in the morning with no food for over 12 hours....I've had DKA once since diagnosis but I know I can't keep on with these crazy irrational levels. My work life is definitely a massive part of this....think I'm gonna need to look for another job coz something's gotta give

Yeah they can be but my dsn previously mentioned dawn phenomenon as a possiblity for the highs in the morning. I've been around 8 when going to sleep, and if I increase my levemir by a unit or 2 at night, I always hypo around 4am then have a rebound high anyway, it's frustrating. I really think I could be doing with a pump to regulate things, although maybe I'm just looking for an easy fix
