Hi, I'm Sue, I'm 46 and have had type 2 since 2005. Ashamed to say I'm currently in denial, but have turned a corner and determined to do something about it! A bit of background; I have PCOS, it took me 10 years to fall pregnant. During the pregnancy I got gestational diabetes and was on insulin from 20 weeks but stopped immediately after my daughter was born very early due to pre-eclampsia (diabetes contributed). Sadly I lost my daughter when she was 4 weeks old. I was diabetes free until I fell pregnant again in 2005 and actually realised I was pregnant due to high blood sugars! I miscarried that baby at 12 weeks, needed insulin for a few weeks afterwards then was left with type 2. I have been prescribed Metformin but I have never taken it properly. Today is the day when I start afresh and get this under control once and for all....

Hi Sue.

Welcome to the forum. Have a good look around and ask any questions that you wish. You have come to the right place if you want help, advice and support. Do you need any advice regarding the PCOS at all ?

Ken.
