Hi Lisa ,
As him too states, it has only been 3 and a half months.
I am 30 and have been diabetic for 18 years and still struggle to get things right, specifically any information I am given.
I use to find it helpful to take a note pad and take notes on what is said. The other option is to ask if they have any information leaflets on the subject matter you are discussing.
Ask them to repeat the information if you don't understand. They will recognise why and support you.
Diabetes doesn't define us, but it does take a bit of time to get your head around it and all the information. Don't beat yourself up.
If it helps post a message after every appointment asking for clarification from this forum. We all have different experiences and different types of diabetes and have a lot to learn from each other.
No question is ever a stupid question. I'm a nurse and still get things confused and still (occasionally) make silly decisions. It is a continual learning cycle.
Just breathe, take one day at a time, take it seriously but live your life and be happy. You will get there xxxxx
