DSN like her are rare in the NHS. But if it means you miss the Eatwell routing that the others normally suggest, then you stand a good chance of finding a way to control the beast in simple steps.Hiya my diabetic nurse told me to eat a diet of low carbs (no more than 130grams I think), high good fats (extra virgin olive oil, butter) and some protein so eggs and meat. I'm based in Yorkshire, England.
At your level of blood sugars,, it sounds like keto is not necessary, and you could go moderate carbs, moderate fat. The advice she gave is consistant with that.
Do you need to lose weight? both the moderate and the keto pathways are viable weight loss plans, but with keto you would need to be stricter, and that could increase stress levels. Going moderate is more relaxed.
