Hi everyone, just thought i would introduce myself . I'm Gemma, 43 years old and recently diagnosed with type 2 diabetes. I was really upset when I was diagnosed and was put on metformin tablets. I did feel poorly on them to start with but am coping with them well. I completely cut out sugar and changed my attitude to food. I am not hungry now with changing everything around. But I will get to the point, my hb1 level was 70 in December. And I just had my 3 month blood result back .... its 41 yes. I'm so happy, but if anyone is finding it tough just to let you know that you have got this and anything is achievable if you put your mind to it.

That’s a great result I was diagnosed about six weeks ago with hb1 level of 59 and put on metformin as well , it’s really hard on the stomach and it’s still making me nauseous , did you have nausea with it ?

Yes I did feel very sick with it and uncomfortable . My diabetic nurse advised to take it with food to try and settle the feeling. I hope you get some relief and it settles for you.
