Hello all. Two weeks ago my doctor told me that the results of a GTT blood test were 14.1 two hours after taking a glucose drink. He explained that means I have T2 diabetes.
Please would any of the members tell me if a GTT test of 14.1 is "minor" diabetes. Also, I have attended my first diabetes meeting regarding the steps in its management, and the nurse gave me some strips on which to check my urine once per day. In the morning the readings on the strips are almost always negative(yellow), but in the afternoon or evening the readings go all the way to the other end of the scale (dark green), sometimes showing a reading of >=255(black). Do you think this is to be expected, and nothing to worry about until my next meeting at the clinic on January 8th?
Thanks
