A correction dose is basically injecting more insulin to bring your blood glucose levels down, I would record all your bg readings and present them to your DSN so that they can advise on adjusting your insulin doses.
10.3 before breakfast is a bit high. If you are on a Basal/Bolus regime i.e. you have two insulins then discuss increasing the Basal a bit with the DN. Even if on a mixed insulin your DN may suggest a small increase if you provide her with some readings
My consultant didn't want me below 10 in the first week. This was because a sudden drop could cause issues is retinopathy. Better to slowly reduce and dose as per doctors instructions at the moment
