Hi I found out last week I am diabetic and I have been put on metformin am I suppose to check my blood glucose levels when I first start on the metformin ?

Hi @Ray2016 and welcome to the forums.

NICE and your GP would say don't test because they don't want to spend the money.

Most of us would suggest that if you don't test, you will not really have much of a clue about what's going on.
