Hello my name is Chris and I have been a diabetic type 2 since 2003. it was misdiagnosed by my then doctor in north London as depression which ultimately led to my losing my dream job of 13 years, no longer able to afford the upkeep of my home I sold up and moved to the east of England where my new doctor picked it up straight away on my first visit. I was scheduled an appointment with the diabetic nurse and put on metformin which did wonders for the depression.
I have took my eye off the ball over the last 12-18 months and my blood sugar level was as of 3 weeks ago 17.3, its as of this morning 10.2 and I'm determined to get it down to normal levels asap. I have read with interest some of the posts on the forum and I'm impressed. I'm ashamed of my self for letting my self go and for my apparent level of ignorance
but a journey starts with a single step and the kingsmill is going straight in the bin.
