Had my 2nd Hba1c and I've gone down from 69 to 41. Yay. I was on gliclazide 2x80mg but Dr has reduced me to just 1x80mg. Not sure about that as I was ok on it and it's brought my levels down so why change it? Dr said it was an experiment.
Lost about 1/2 stone so just over 14 stone now. Dr says I was just unlucky to get it at my age and weight.
I have good cholesterol but he wanted to discuss statins! Is there really any benefit for someone with already low cholesterol, not overweight and with good Bg? I've put him off till next hba1c in 3 months time, but I don't want to take something that only has a perceived benefit and may have side effects.
What's best to do now?
