Type 2 Nexus RX strips

my Nexus rx strips give inconsistent results, if,for instance, I test the same fingertip drop of blood over three strips, I can get three different results, sometimes varying by as much as 1.5. So 1st. One say 7.1, next strip 6.8, and third , using same blood drop 6.1. As the strips are expensive I don't do this often, but as I considered 7.1 a bit high, I decided to retest and that's what I found. Any replies welcomed.

Have you tried calibrating with the solution you get? I haven’t actually done his myself but think that should show if it’s reading in right range?

I recently got an RX Nexus (with ten strips) from the manufacturer, and parallel tested with my trusty Glucomen LX Plus. Readings from the Nexus seemed all over the place and I felt no confidence in using it. I may get more test strips to continue parallel testing.
I was trying to help the NHS as RX strips are cheaper. At the moment that's not happening.

Thank you Geoff do you recommend the Glucomen LX Plus as a better option if so would I still get free strips from the NHS ?

I'd recommend it but it's been around for a bit and is more designed for type 1s (ketone testing) Was given to me by my Diabetes Clinic.A GP prescribing strips for a T2 has to take cost into consideration.
