i have been type 1 diabetic for the last 16 years of my life, i grew up in Scotland and lived there whilst being diagnosed.
i cant sing the Scottish NHS' praises any higher, they helped with every issue raised and regularly checked up on me throughout the years, however ....
i made the decision to move to london as i was given a great job opportunity. The first 2 years of living in london i had no contact from the NHS even after registering with my local GP and asking for a referral to the local diabetes department in the nearest hospital.
i have since been to said diabetes department for 2 annual reviews, i have requested a number of things such as a spot on the waiting list for the omni pod, a new carb to insulin ratio (my last one was from my diagnoses), new cgm devices and advice (i use libre) but i have received nothing back.
my question is, what do i have to do to receive the help i need and am entitled to.
it feels as though i am left to my own devices and expected to survive alone
