So I was referred to this online course for type 2s by my GP. The information videos are generally okay; however, they insist that most men should have around 300g of carbohydrates each day and that the lowest healthy limit, even for diabetics, is 130g a day! And of course, simple carbs and especially fats are the real problem, so if people would just stop eating so many chips, everything would be hunky-dory.
Anyway [sigh].
What really annoyed me was a glucose logging tool included on the website. Very clunky to use, and after I'd made a few entries, I realised every time point was an hour off! Even stranger, it proved impossible to add an entry for after 2157 - the hours start at 00 and go up to 21 while the minutes start at 00 and go up to 57. And while there is an edit button, re-entering the time doesn't seem to make a difference; still out by an hour. There also seems to be no way to delete an entry once made.
Has anyone else had fun with the Healthy Living App?
