Not being able to eat as many chocolate digestives as I used to.
Hi @numan43

During the fermentation process, the yeasts eat the carbohydrates producing alcohol, heat, and CO2 (bubbles). Whatever sugars are left over contribute to the total carbohydrate in the beverage, which varies from one drink to another. A dry wine has little to no residual sugar, whereas a sweet wine can have quite a bit. So pick a dry one - cannot recommend a particular label though.

Try a decent Sauvignon Blanc. You can pick up a decent New Zealand Marlborough region bottle for about a tenner. There is a South African called Ned which you can get from Waitrose or Majestic which is really good imho and costs about £8. If you want to pay a bit less Asda are selling a couple of decent brands for £5 at the moment. Another decent dry white would be a Pinot Grigio, you will find many Chardonnay to be slightly higher in sugar content even if they are dry, but probably not enough to make a huge difference.

If you want to try something less mainstream I love a decent bottle of Picpoul de Pinet which is from the Langedoc region of southern France.

Realistically, the some of the dryest (and lowest carb) white wines are Chardonnays. They are also the nicest (in my view). You can also look at Muscadet as a dry white.

Would have to agree with britishpub. Sauvignon Blanc esp New Zealand. My tipple of choice, very tasty and doesn't raise my sugar noticeably.
Cheers (sorry don't have a pic of white wine!)
