Been away for a few years so thought it a good idea to see what's new. I have noticed that when retiring to sleep there are two possible outcomes showing up for my Libre record.
1. A graph showing a picture similar to a mountain range. Up and down through the small hours of my sleep.
2. Occasionally it's more or less a flat line.
Any info out there that might explain.
Cheers Garry.

how are the peaks of the range looking figure wise from/to. could be something like digestion time if had something particulary complex and/or carbish. eg mac n cheese for me tends to not spike for a couple of hours then raised for several hours afterwards usually with twin peaks. couple of other foods have had can have simular effect so now i try to avoid them at least for evening meal.

Thanks for your consideration in replying. Been T1 for years so have ruled out diet in the main as a factor for majority of night fluctuations. Shall crack on with a few trial ideas

have you noticed a particular pattern rather than just the time of day? X amount of time between meal and rise/Y amount of time after basal?

both basal and bolus requirements can change over time and indeed if more or less active. presume did a dafne or simular course, can ask dsn for refresher or could possibly ask for referal for diabetic deitician whos a little more knowledgable and go off script more than a regular dsn can. maybe one or the other could do with adjusting, or even the insulin type used would need medical advice on that front. some basals are twice a day injections if differing needs throughout.

Check back on dafne/or other education notes if you happen to still have them. might be worth fasting test to check basal rates: see https://www.diabetes.co.uk/insulin/adjusting-basal-bolus-insulin-doses.html. would check with diabetic team. if using cgm sharing the cgm data would be very beneficial if don't would recremmend print eg 2 month reporting period (if marked in all meals and injections on the app). if not marked would start marking now and hopefully could get a much clearer picture.

not sure which insulins your using could check to see active profiles at for rough times to see if it can perhaps help work out pattern and then discuss with dsn/endo/diabetic dietician to see their thoughts. check post: https://www.diabetes.co.uk/forum/th...es-and-duration-of-effect.209315/post-2762986

best wishes with trialing your ideas.
