Hi I have recently gone from victoza to metformin and gliclazide, which have been working ok. Last night though when i went to bed, I felt like I was getting start of a hypo, wobbled downstairs and when i tested my blood sugar was 2.7, so i manged to eat 3 glucose tablets, 2 rich tea and a glass of milk and half later when i tested i had gone back up to 6.8 so went back bed and then slept.
However today i still feel ill and out of sorts, my blood sugar hasnt gone under 5 but i feel dreadful and have had to ring in work sick. Just wondering if this is normal after a hypo like i had ??? I have only had metformin today {1000mg sr} and no gliclazide. Normally after glic and met and a say beef stew for tea my blood sugar is around 7-8, this is the first time its been really really low for ages and last night i had a stir fry with chicken n veg for tea with no noodles and then toast later so my blood sugar shouldnt have dropped so low. The only thing i did different was have literally half a small glass of rum n diet coke which i nicked off my partner, so wondering could that be the cause as i dont really drink anymore.

Any advice or answers would be great thanks :(

Yeah i was told to test often and normally i find my blood sugar is between 7-8, sometimes 10 after meals and thats with met and glic, when i came off victoza i tried a week of no meds and my blood sugar shot back up to 17. So normally i never go low of a night or feel this bad as i do at the minute and i have just tested agin and i am 6.9 at present.
