Seems to go into a bit of more detail to this "death in bed syndrome". The gist I got from it was that not enough research has been done on the subject, and it could be due to diabetes or not. "Normal" people drop dead sometimes too.
Lots of vague statements about the people who died having night time hypos. Well can any of us say we haven't had a nighttime hypo?
I remember seeing other people's readings when they'd been on a continuous glucose monitor (CGMs) and it struck how much sugar levels could vary during the night. They'd be going hypo whilst asleep and would sometimes only be aware when they downloaded the readings.
