Hi. I also work shifts and found nights/ evenings very draining. So much so my employers allowed me to only work up to midnight, this was under the disability act, my employer is a large company. So now I feel much better, even though swapping from days to lates is still tiring. T2 on insulin

Hi - you would be better if you didn't rotate - you should ask under the disabilities/equalities rules. I am much better since I stopped the rotation - nights only is fine for me. I eat my main meal at 6.30, do my long acting injection at 7pm and start work at 10pm, eat during my break at 1230am and again at 3.30 am - just a snack and then have breakfast when I get in at 630am. I sleep, then get up when I am ready.
