Nightguard app error (freestyle libre) ?

Dear all,

Some weeks ago I set up my apple watch to constantly show my bg level (derived from my freestyle libre 3 sensor)

I completed all the steps as in the video below, installing among other things the ‘Nightguard’ app, which is able to show bg values on your apple watch:

Apart from some delay in the values showed on my watch, the system works fine. An additional advantage is that every few minutes your bg values are logged so it is more easy to discover trends. nightguard also has the option to set of alarms as a reminder in cases of persisting high bg and in cases of fast rising or fast decreasing bg levels (before you get the actual high or low) . It also predicts expected high or low bg indicating in how many minutes it expects a low or high (though this last function is not always accurate of course)

Now i have an issue. Since yesterday the Nightguard app is giving false alarms/notifications that my bg is at 0.6 mmol (!)
When checking in the actual Libre app, my bg is fine. Also the values show correctly on my phone in the Nightguard app/homescreen. But the annoying false (very) low notifications keep on coming several times a day.

Does anyone else use Nightguard and if yes, is this a glitch and how can it be fixed?

a nice christmas to all :)
Cheers

Hi, I have the same set up so that I can get readings on my watch. My Nightguard was also sending me bogus alerts yesterday. I just disabled alarms in the Nightguard app and they stopped. My watch is still showing the readings and my Libre will send me alarms if it needs to.

Thanks Cragwood. Must be a glitchy update or something. Hope it woll be fixed soon or that Abbot finally makes a proper apple watch app. Merry xmas!

I’ve just set up but nightguard is showing mg/dl rather than mmol, do you know how to change this?

Also is the nightguard complication updating on your Apple Watch? It’s ok if I click and go into the app but the complication is not updating

Go to the nightguard app on your iphone. Click on the three dots on the right bottom screen. Go to preferences and change ‘use the following units’ to mmol/L

Hardly updating automatically. I changed the apple watch homescreen to ‘modular’. You can then set the values on your watch homescreen. Then its just one click to go into the app and to refresh manually. Beware that no updates at all will happen if your phone is not with you or if you have no internet connection.

Btw the glitch in nightguard which i mentioned is still not fixed. I really hope that Abbott and Apple make an Official stand alone freestyle app for apple watch this year. I mean, come on whats the problem? It would be in both of their advantage. Apple watch would basically become the new reader for sure. and it would so helpful for all of us.

I found a fix. In my case apparently the Gluroo app had logged out. In Gluroo I signed back in with my Apple ID (google account is also possible) and the values are shown again on apple watch!IMG_4602.jpeg
Edit: despite this fix works to succesfully show bg on apple watch again, it does not fix the false notifications from Nightguard. So i had to disable all nightguard notifications again (this is not a huge issue as gluroo and libre 3 still send notifications to the apple watch)
