Have started Slimming World and seen and discussed Red Plan which is Low Carb. When suggesting my bs needs NO Carb right now (numbers too high with carbs) thetes little advice and guidance about how to replace carbs but still stay to plan. Im Type2 on pills. Anyone similar and worked out some food options?. Please dont say Atkins as Im going to run with Slimming World for my 12 free weeks. Thoughts?

Do you really mean zero carbs? That wouldn't be compatible with Slimming World or any other mainstream diet
It would basically restrict you to fresh meat, fish, shellfish, eggs, cheeses (though not all), fats and oils.
Plant foods contain carbohydrates as does milk. Even liver has some carbs as do many processed meats.

i actually mean no potatoes pasta rice or bread.. odd burgen slice bread ok... carbs around 20% of an item ok in moderation.. keen to see if anyone done low low carb on slimming world?

I don't believe its possible to follow slimming world in a low carb way. To reduce your carbs to a very low level you need to increase your fat intake. I have lost more weight, and kept it off, when following low carb. Generally I use Atkins as the guide. If your not eating carbs or fat where do you get energy from?

not sure what you mean alex
It means even though Andy12345 said he was kidding, he really wasn't.

You can't really low carb on slimming world as they rely too much on the potato/pasta etc to get the green days (iirc)
the moment you mod the diet, as you are asking to do, you move away from slimming world and its philosophy.

In short, modify an atkins/low carb diet to suit your needs. Slimming world wont teach you much apart from: eat healthy. But you knew that already right? Do that & cut out the carbs as much as possible with a <80g a day limit (i aim for 30-50 personally, don't alway get there but my bloods are low 5's every day) and voila, your own personal diet that you understand how and why it works and can follow easily.

it's genius I tell ya :)

Yes meoman, I totally agree with everything that Alex Noodles has stated, I personally eat around 30g carbs per day, good luck
