Three months after T2 diagnosis and I had my first diabetic eye exam a few weeks ago.

I received the result today and "Your recent eye examination and photographs have shown no evidence of diabetes related eye disease".

That's a huge relief. My eyesight does seem to have deteriorated but I think that's just down to being an old crusty now :D.

Delighted for you! :D
I think it is totally normal to spend the lead up to any medical test busily convincing ourselves that we will fail it! Human nature. But it makes the relief afterwards (if we pass) all the better.

First time left eye damage.
Second time no damage.
Third time left eye damage .... last three times no damage so it is repairable.

Good news :). Interesting though. I had no idea it was repairable. I thought it could only be prevented from deteriorating further.

Thank you :). It was a massive relief. I just hope I can keep it that way.

I questioned it at first thinking it must be a mistake but no .... nerves can and do repair and or reroute.
