Honestly at this point I don't feel like I need any GP/endo/dietician to tell me anything because it is clear to me that this diet has solved the problem. The years of misdiagnosis and failed attempts from one medication to the next. I mean really. It's shocking. It's been really bad for a long time.Well done! And delighted that you are feeling better.
I will be interested to hear what your endo says too. Some of them are... um... reluctant to see the benefits. lol. While others think it is a very good idea, but fail to recommend it because they don't think the patient is willing to make the dietary changes.

Just tested and overnight fasting bgl is 3.4 (seems fine) and ketones are at 1.5. Since this is working so well I'm feeling a mixture of excited and also concerned about if it's safe long term. I guess a general blood test will determine whether I'm getting any deficiencies. I want to make sure I'm getting enough of the right nutrients and I'm not really sure what I'm doing. I have found an app called 'Carb Manager' that tracks nutrients so I'll try that out today. Also a bit worried about losing too much weight as I'm a pretty thin guy already.
The endo was very helpful and supportive! She confirmed the previous diagnosis of idiopathic RH and even said that there obviously needs to be some studies done into poeple living with RH on a keto diet. She seemed very interested in the whole situation which was surprising to me. She said if the keto diet is working to manage symptoms and I don't need any meds then stick with it. Also, she said in Australia we don't need to inform any road and traffic authorities about RH - only if you have diabetes or if you're on insulin. She said that my case is very rare shows that medical science doesn't yet know eveything and more studies need to be done. Seemed like a very open minded, curious and genuinely interested medical professional. I was mentally prepared to be told I'm making it all up or just eat more low gi carbs or whatever.Well done! And delighted that you are feeling better.
