We are all different, there no such thing as "normal".
We have different types of diabetes (do you have Type 1 or type 2?), we have different treatments (do you take insulin, are you eating low carb), we have different lifestyles (do you exercise regularly?) , we have had diabetes for different length of time, ...
The latter can have a significant impact to whether we have hypos - it is usual to slowly reduce our levels when first diagnosed so our targets will be higher and we gradually learn more and more about our own diabetes over time and how to manage it rather than how to deal with "generic diabetes".
