No test strips or lancets on the NHS?!!!

I'm at this stage too. This might give us more idea of the prices
Amazon.co.uk, typing in blood sugar test strips - I would post the link but its very long.

Can I ask a couple of questions?

- do you have to buy strips made by the manufacturer of the meter?
- how often do you need to test?

It is atrocious not to prescribe test strips by the NHS. BS monitoring plays a big role in the management of T 2 diabetes. RF

The NICE guidelines are that you test 4 times a day and every time you get behind the wheel of a car so a pot of 50 strips will only last a couple of weeks at the most.

Does anyone need a pot of 50 Accu-Chek Aviva blood testing strips ? My pharmacy gave them to me by mistake but I didn't realise until I got home and when I phoned them they said I couldn't return them as they had been taken off thier premises, seems a waste to throw them away, so if anyone lives in the Norwich area and needs them you're welcome.
