Hi everyone just need some clarification I went to see my gp and a nurse who both told me I was killing myself by not looking after my diabetes and mental health but still not refer me to the correct people to help me as I want see a bit more of life but it feels like I have just been left in a corner

Hi @gk29, Can you tell us a bit more about yourself? What type of diabetes have you been diagnosed with and what is your diet and treatment? And who do are the correct people you need to see?

well their advice maybe is to shock you into looking after yourself a little bit better I am unsure if would like them to say that to me or not, but you have come to right forum for advice

Ask your questions here. We can't refer you, but we can listen and maybe offer advice. We've got all sorts. (I'm a T2 diabetic with rheumatism, migraines, osteomalachia, Hashimoto's PCOS,, introverted borderline personality disorder, clinical depression and anxiety. Besides being an amateur photographer, avid catlover and a non-practicing journalist.) And we've got normal people around here too. T1's, T2's, T3c's, RH's... Bottom line, there's usually someone around who knows exactly what you're talking about. So do feel free. And anywhere but put in a corner. Help is to be found right here.

HI there @gk29 You don't need to feel as though you're in a corner. If I were you I'd go back and ask for some concrete advice and a referral to those who can give you a direction to follow. Did they give you any specific advice?
