I also make my own mayo and use macadamia oil, which has a neutral taste. Initially I was quite scared of screwing up the mayo, but making it was much easier than I thought.
Other low-carb options are Caesar's dressing (Cardini's has 1.4 g of carbs), Ranch dressing isn't too bad (Cardini's has 3.1 g of carbs. Sauce Bernaise and sauce Hollandaise are other options (about 4g of carbs).
There are also some pestos (Genovese, Calabrese) with about 5g of carbs -- however, some makers use higher carb ingredients, so I always check the label.

The number of carbs per 100g can be found on the food labels in most European countries. If I make sauces myself, I calculate the carbs in the ingredients. If I have any doubts, I weigh the portions I use.
my confusion was over how to convert 500ml a Liquid measurement with 100 grams a solid measurement by the way I am English but wonder why whoever calculates cant give nutritional info per 100 ml for liquids it would be easier for busy shoppers to understand
Thank you the info is on the mayo bottle in the Supermarket my point is unless The purchaser is some sort of mathematical genius which the majority will no be how can they decide on the Carb/Sugar content ?I would just weigh an empty container, then pour the liquid into the container, weigh again, and then subtract the weight of the container.

I suspect they could show the figures per 100 ml but maybe they wont look so low if they do !!!
I don’t know...maybe....probably? I can rave over loads of things that are t good for me or I don’t digest. I’m SO STINKING SICK OF MY STOMACH!!! And everywhere I read canola oil is high.y inflammatory and wreaks havoc on the intestinal lining. I’m not even sure it’s canola. Might just be oils in general. Made tuna with olive oil and didn’t much care for it and got a bit nauseous. Came home and smashed avo in a piece of turkey and much much better.Are you over thinking things? You have raved over Mayo. You love it. Rapeseed Oil may not be the best fat in the world, but it is the best seed oil and is full of omega 3 with very little omega 6. (a better ratio than olive oil as it happens) It may well even have more benefits than risks. Who really knows? You have the non-GMO expeller pressed brand, so even better.
Btw. What do you put on your salmon? Please do t say mayo lol
Tinned salmon is moister. I could get through that. Tuna is not so moist haha. I’ve just smashed avo with salmon and it’s fine. Tuna...still too dry.LOL. Yes .... mayo! I only usually eat tinned salmon, so it is fairly moist. But also I slice up a big pickled onion and mix that in, and a drop of vinegar sometimes. But mainly mayo. Sorry!!!!

The problem I have is I eat LOADS of mayo. Bf lunch and often dinner. To. Much of a good thing me thinks
100ml of water weighs 100g so for water based products the measurements are pretty interchangeable. The specific gravity of rapeseed oil is about 0.92g/ml so 100ml weighs 92g. On that basis, for rapeseed oil based products I think 1g of carbs per 100ml would equate to 1.08g per 100g.
