Noctura 400 mask.

Thanks. I used to use the masks, and found them good, but couldn't use it one summer when it was hot, and my eyes got so dry I found the green light painful and didn't order a replacement for a month, and the price had gone up from £250 every 3 months to either £300 or £310 (can't quite remember) , and I just wondered if it was because I'd missed a month, but obviously not.

I then needed more laser treatment!! and have had a lot of expenses as well, so not gone back to them yet.

Interesting

How did you sort out your dry eyes ??

It's not entirely gone, but using Hylo Forte drops during the day and Hylo Night ointment at bedtime, and very occasionally once a day has helped a lot. Hylo Night initially makes your eyesight blurry, but I found the bluriness ceased after about 20 minutes or so.

Ive just bought one of those eye masks @Hopeful34 from Amazon. I have an eye disease, but nothing to do with diabetes. Looks good thanks :)
I'm pretty sure it won't be the same product @Melgar I have to see an optician and have photos taken of the back of my eyes to monitor my eyes whilst using it. I'd check out the official Noctura 400 website to see full details of the one I was using.

Edited to correct - 'scans' to photos

Thanks @Hopeful34 admittedly all I did was type in the name on Amazon and the mask popped up. I’ll do a bit more research.

is anyone on here using / still using the Noctura 400 mask ?
Is it helping I’ve just ordered one but there’s a few things I’m unsure about
ive been having injections for the last 10years ad have have non-proliferative diabetic retinopathy in both eyes
currently one eye isn’t to bad but one has quite a lot of swelling in the retina, currently in that eye I have a Ozurdex implant

Hi I've started using this. All of my appointments have been cancelled for 16 months as there are just no eye doctors available in my neck of the woods, so I've started a £79 per month plan and they replace every 12 weeks. I've had lots of laser to both eyes, bleeds in both that have almost cleared, and I'm hoping that it holds off my eyes getting any worse. I had fundus measurements with an oCT test at Specsavers and will repeat the test after 6 months to see if any improvement. My problem is going all night with it on as when I wake up middle of night, I can't get back to sleep with it on.

No, I'm only aware of one clinic that is/ was funding it for some type 1's, and were getting good results.

The reason I asked, is that I was paying £250 every 3 months, and then I had to stop using it. They subsequently increased it to £320 if I wanted to restart. That was through The Outside Clinic, as Polyphytonics wouldn't supply it direct.
