Non-invasive glucose meters?

The Freestyle Libre is a reasonably affordable and decent piece of kit. It doesn't 'technically' measure your blood sugar like a finger prick tester but does convert the data it receives into a BGL reading in either mmol/L or mg/dL. You simply scan a reader against a sensor on your arm to get the reading.

There are also CGM devices on the market that work in a similar fashion, however these provide a constant readout to a receiver or smart phone without the need for scanning. Because of this, they are considerably more expensive. Dexcom are one manufacturer which many forum members are using.

Technically, the Libre is invasive as the measuring filament pierces the skin.

There are various manufacturers who claim to have a non-invasive one in the pipeline. Glucotrack seems to be selling one in Italy, but other than their website with it's shop there is little information. I haven't managed a reply from the owning company yet.
I e-mailed them a week ago asking about plans to appoint a UK supplier but haven't got a acknowledgement, let alone a reply yet.

I've detailed the info on pricing I found on the Italian site in this thread. http://www.diabetes.co.uk/forum/threads/glucotrack-non-invasive-blood-glucose-monitor.73183/

I see having the world's worst ear-ring tied to a handheld device a good bit more invasive than the Libre system. Just my opinion though.

You'd also look like a total dafty:D

I didn't make any claims as to how trendy it was, just that it's non invasive. I, also, didn't highlight the fact that it's not a continuous monitor. There is this one, http://www.gluco-wise.com/ ,again not continuous, but maybe a touch less 'dafty' ;). Sad to say, their website hasn't changed since I first found it. I'd still use the 'worst ear-ring for the 30 seconds it needs to get a reading. I get funny looks if I have to test blood in public, anyway.

I loved the Libre while I could use it, and having used the Libre from day one until the point where every sensor fitted failed or fell off due to the festering mess under it, (adhesive or rejection not known & certainly no feedback from Abbotts), I'm in the market for anything that is able to replace finger pricking and give an accurate spot test for blood sugar.

As ever, this isn't an attack on anyone's views.
