hello people, i'm a 37 yr old male, type 1 for longer than i care to remember. no real complications with my diabetes as yet, fingers x'd that continues. have been readin some of the posts and y'all seem to know what you are talkin about

I too am new to this forum, I was only diagnosed 13 days ago with type 2. Diabetes, so am still a little shell shocked and confused. I am just getting my head round it. Everything is still very new to me.
My brother too has type 1. since he was 21 has had it fourteen years, I cannot imagine what it must be like to cope with that with all the injections and calculating dosages just reading about it is mindblowing. I am sure you cope admirably.
Fortunately i am not on medication yet just diet. One thing to remember though is, I control the diabetes it does not control me.
