Hi

We're having a stirfry tonight and I thought I'd do some noodles with it but not sure which will have the least effect on BS. Do I get the fresh noodles or the dry one's? The thin one's or the fat ones?

I would go for fresh every time, thick ones as they have more surface area to pick up the sauce.

Fried Noodles (Average) is 11.3 g carbs per 100g.

Depends if your partner is going to cover all that with the Insulin. I would have to modify portion size to avoid Bg effects.

Thanks Cugila, I do prefer the fat fresh one's so i'm glad you said that!

He'll cover it with enough insulin but after we've eaten we always go for a walk so he needs his BS up a little! There's nothing worse than going for a nice relaxing stroll and him having a low episode, he can handle it but I turn into a right stressed out mess!

xx

11.3/100g? That's pretty good. I could probably get along with 50g thrown in with some broccoli and chicken w/soy sauce.

Is that fresh (not dried) egg noodles? (Sharwoods, for example?)

I normally use the fresh noodles, sharwoods do do them or in most supermarkets you can get them in the fresh veg section with all the stirfry stuff.I normally do mine with oilve oil, chicken loads of veg it's delicious!
